May 2013: Preparing a stable surface for painting
There may be certain instances when an artist is not concerned with their work lasting a long time; maybe for a one-time installation piece or possibly they want their work to speak to the temporary nature of all things.
May 2013: Why should you varnish your acrylic painting?
While most artists know that varnishing is important, this important habit is frequently lost as their practice develops. Confusion starts because there are many varnishes to choose from and as work becomes more valuable, artists worry that they may damage their painting if the varnish is not applied properly. Eventually, they start to question whether varnishing is really needed at all.
March 2013: Introducing Liquitex Professional Paint Markers

September 2012: Artists mix it up with Liquitex Professional Spray Paint
Late August saw our UK headquarters come to life with a fantastic event to celebrate the launch of our Liquitex Professional Spray Paint here in the UK, when the west London space was taken over by a diverse range of spray paint and fine artists who came together to create a unique indoor/outdoor exhibition.
October 2012: Intermixability: Kickin’ it up a notch with Liquitex Professional Spray Paint!
Intermixability. Is that a real word? My spell check keeps trying to fix it so I’m guessing not but it works for me when talking about Liquitex products. It means that you can take all the Liquitex variations of color like Soft Body, Heavy Body, Ink, and the new Professional Spray Paint as well as all the mediums and mash ‘em up any way you like. How’s that for intermixability? Or versatility if you like (I know that’s a word)!
August 2012: Live painting event takes over West London gallery
We commissioned a number of exciting spray paint artists to create artwork in real time on 24th Sept in London, works now in the Griffin Gallery till 12th September 2012.
May 2012: Jimmy Leslie (Liquitex Resident Artist) visits Australia
As the Resident artist for Liquitex I often find myself embarking on some interesting travels as was recently the case when I visited Sydney, Australia, to work with our Artist Outreach Programme Artists Down Under.
