I create demanding to feel. I express the journey that I have witnessed.
I crave honesty in my markings, knowledge in what unfolds. Making art guides
me deeper inside what I believe. It is my relationship to the patterns stitched
out of the stories plastered in my walls.
My paintings involve issues of a social nature. They range from my interpretations
of gender stereotypes, the atrocities of war, the act
of procreation and molestation, to the dichotomy of
the male and female species. The stories I view and
read, the nuances of human character, the events that
make me laugh and cry all act as a catalyst for me to begin my artistic
process. It is with my pursuit to seek and understand my intentions as
well as the way that others survive in this life that triggers and motivates
my desire to paint.
