ARTIST STATEMENT
My work portrays an illusion of reality with color, space and shapes that represent the wanton rhythm of modern life. My paintings often start as an idea with a preliminary sketch and develop as the concept is applied to the canvas.The colors of the abstract music paintings vibrate and compliment the theme so the music appears to flow to the eye of the viewer. While I often paint what feels good to me, I strive to give the observer an uplifting feeling, too.
I want my paintings to elicit a joyful emotion.
