ARTIST STATEMENT
I use color and paint to describe relationships between people, and people to their environment, particularly life in the city. I am fascinated by personal narratives and dramas juxtaposed against the background of the pulsating cityscape. Inner and outer dialogues between the figures in my expressionistic paintings are revealed through layers of transparent paint. Recently I have added collage to the paintings to increase the intensity of the painted reality.
