Although his primary occupation is filmmaking, Terry Davis has been pursuing art as an avocation for several years. He has studied at the Studio Arts Center in Florence, Italy and at U.C.L.A. Only recently has he taken his work public with a solo exhibition at the Galaxy Galaxy in Los Angeles. He has another exhitbition scheduled for March at the Caja De Madrid Gallery in Madrid, Spain.Terry's subjects come from photography found in the media or from his own camera. He attempts to convey a cinemaphotographic style perpetuated by hisbackground in filmmaking. The images are composed of broad patches of color and shade without any overt brushwork.
