"All my work and thinking is rooted in the line, as it is the msot important element for me. My work is about the delineation of space through the use of line. THe velocity of this line, as it gestures through space, is significant, I feel that it symbolizes the unique concept of the rapidity of contemporary life. In order to achieve my concept, color plays an important role. Through the use of acrylic paint, I am able to attain the color saturation essential for flight and movement. My wooden elements are painted with numerous layers of paint for touch up purposes, as they are then juxtaposed with metal and other elements. I like to mix large quantities of paint for touch up purposes, as I find that the paint does no tyello wor change it's color even after several months. I am also able to wipe down the acrylic painted wood with a damp sponge, if dust has accumulated."
