2007 Excellence in Art
Artwork Submission Guidelines

Entries must be accompanied by an official entry form (form may be photocopied). All paintings must be original, unpublished, conceived and created by the entrant and cannot have been selected as a winner in any other competition. Artwork can be either two or three-dimensional but must make extensive use of acrylic paint. All artwork must have been completed within the last two (2) years. In the event that the submitted work is not available for purchase when awards are announced an alternate recipient will be chosen.

Eligibility: Open to residents of the United States and Canada. Void in Puerto Rico, Quebec and where prohibited.

Please read the following carefully as improper submission will disqualify your entry.

Submit four (4) 35 mm color slides of artwork along with a numbered list containing the title, media, dimension and year completed. Include your name, address and telephone number on the list.
On the top of each slide, as it faces you when you hold it to the light, mark the slide number and an up arrow pointing to the top.
On the bottom, write your name and phone number.
Slide(s) must be placed in a clear vinyl 8 1/2" x 11" slide sheet labeled with the artist's name and address.
Send only duplicate slides as they will not be returned. Do not send a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope.

Entries must be postmarked on or before January 15, 2008 and received by no later than January 30, 2008

Prizes:
Eight (8) winners will be selected and notified by mail no later than March 1, 2008. Award winners will be posted on the Liquitex web site on or around March 1, 2008

PROFESSIONAL
One (1) winner will be awarded a $5,000 cash purchase award and $1,500 in Liquitex products. Four (4) winners will each be awarded a $1,000 cash purchase award and $500 in Liquitex products.

SECONDARY
One (1) winner will be awarded a $500 cash purchase award and $250 in Liquitex products. Two (2) winners will each be awarded a $250 cash purchase award and $100 in Liquitex products.

One prize per person. Subject to all federal, state and local laws. Taxes are sole responsibility of the winner.

General: No responsibility is assumed for lost, misdirected, illegible, postage due or late entries or mail. Finalists agree to investigation of eligibility and to promotional use of their name and likeness without additional compensation (where permitted). Entrants agree that Liquitex Artist Materials, its affiliates, subsidiaries, agents and employees will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages resulting from acceptance of any prize, or from participation in the competition. Winners must execute affidavit of eligibility and release within 14 days of notification or prize may be awarded to alternate winner.

Winner's list: Anyone interested in obtaining a list of the winners can notify Liquitex via e-mail or mail and the list will be mailed. This will be done only after the March 1, 2008 notification date. For a list of prize winners by mail, send stamped self-addressed envelope to:
