Liquitex College Education Program
University faculty: Our academic program can provide your students with all the latest information on exciting changes that make acrylic so versatile and INSPIRATIONAL! We currently have artists for all major metropolitan areas including: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, St. Louis, Florida, San Francisco, and Texas and New England.
Who gives us the Authority?
Liquitex (Liquid Texture) was named by Henry Levison, THE pioneer of the water-based acrylics we all use today. Henry established a continuing tradition of leadership in innovation, including state of the art media, colors, and new ways to look at painting for fine artists!
Liquitex sponsors experienced, acrylic-loving artists in your area who provide painters with reliable technical information to assure that your class will get the most value (and fun!) out of their art materials. Our artists can tell you all about how to mix great color, how to get the most of your media, and how to make that artwork come alive!
Here are some of the great giveaways that go with each workshop!
The Acrylic Book! A comprehensive guide on how to have fun with acrylics. A one-stop-acrylic-shop with a guide to what to use with what, where all is on one page for easy access while painting. Each student gets their own book, color charts and brochures as well as a series of techniques cards that guide the artist through successful application of painting media.
Mixing 4 Primary Color Set! Yep, we give it away! Our workshops are purely technical information, with no sales pitch (ever). Each student gets a color set to work with as part of the talk, and the class gets media samples to play with. Our talks are based on the materials we give to your students so they can work successfully with the materials right away. The most fun is what happens when the color gets out of the tube!
We give away free money, too! The Liquitex Excellence in Art Program provides opportunities for emerging artists to receive recognition! Each year, a group of works is selected from the competition, then, we pay for art and feature it in our Art in America ad! Fame and fortune and free paint! Our Education Advisor artists will have all the information when you host a workshop!
How Do I Host? Send us a note! Give us a call! Workshops are typically about 90 minutes, and feature lots of time for personal dialog and fully answered questions. Our program has lots of colorful boards that demonstrate painting concepts, so your students have a practical understanding of how to get the results they want!
