Liquitex and Sebastien Mr. D Boileau Team Up To Support

Liquitex and NYCC Team Up For Debut Event to Celebrate Real-Life Superheroes

As a dedicated supporter of artistry and goodwill all over the world, Liquitex is proud to announce our involvement in "Heroes After Dark", a special event set to kick off this year's New York Comic Con which occurred on October 5 at the Highline Ballroom in Chelsea, New York. With the event taking place during National Anti-Bullying Awareness Month, NYCC celebrated young people who are making a difference in their communities - real-life "superheroes".

As a highlight of this event, Liquitex brand ambassador Sebastien “Mr. D” Boileau painted an original Gotham styled New York City skyline live on the main stage. "Mr. D" has generously agreed to donate his work of art to benefit, the event's official non-profit partner. The piece of art is currently up for auction at with 100% of the proceeds going to young people who are making a difference in the community, hopefully encouraging others to do the same.

NYCC organizer (and leading producer of pop culture events) ReedPOP has announcing a variety of impressive activations and partnerships for the event, which will be produced in partnership with CAA Premium Experience (a division of leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency). Entertainment Weekly, the media partner for the event, will provide coverage of the red carpet and give fans a behind-the-scenes look into the fun that happens for superheroes and villains ‘After Dark.’

Visit to bid on the original work of art, open until October 11th at 5pm EST.
