2022 Just Imagine Residency Program
Inspired by Japanese Nihonga paintings, NYC based artist George Bezani uses a highly individual mark-making technique to convey the fragility of our modern world. Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, he spent time as an award-winning fashion designer in Europe before becoming a full-time painter and visual artist. George’s slow, meditative brush movements and bold colored marks decode the compositions of quotidian moments, altering and reorganizing them through his unique visual language.
During his two-month Liquitex Just Imagine Residency at Manufacturers Village, George explored the versatile qualities of our Basics Acrylic Fluid range and continued his investigation into the impact of technology on society through a series of large-scale work.
