MORE INFO
What it does
- Pre-filtered and pre-reduced to thin all consistencies of acrylic paint and mediums ready for spray techniques
- Reduces airbrush clogging and paint build-up around nozzle
- Increases transparency
- Makes paint behave like a watercolor, wash or stain
- Slightly extends open time
- Mixes well with other mediums to adjust body and handling qualities
- Maintains acrylic stability, paint adhesion, durability and archival quality
- Ideal for dry and hot climates
How to use it
- Fully intermixable with all Liquitex products
- Start by using in a 1:1 ratio with Soft Body Acrylic or Acrylic Ink, adjusting levels according to color chosen as each varies due to pigment size and and concentration
- Airbrush nozzle size and spraying pressure will determine your ratio, so experiment to get the optimum mix
- Stir gently until the mixture is fully blended - if bubbles appear, leave it to sit while the bubbles rise and disappear
- If using with Heavy Body, strain once mixed to remove any particles of undissolved color
- Clean out immediately after use before acrylic has a chance to dry
How not to use it
- Do not allow paint to dry in the airbrush - always wash it through with warm soapy water, a water/ammonia mixture, airbrush cleaner or alcohol
- Do not shake
- Do not use with any non-acrylic media

Yes, Acrylic Ink can be used in your airbrush. We recommend you use it with Liquitex Airbrush Medium for optimum atomisation. Always remember to clean it out immediately after use as you would with any other acrylic media. -
We suggest you first avoid adding water to your paint and minimize heat and air flow in your painting environment. Secondly. make use of acrylic mediums to extend the color, especially Slow-Dri Fluid or Gel, Airbrush Medium or Slow-Dri Fluid or Gel Additive. All of these will extend the open time and workability of your color. Remember that only one additive should be used within a color mix as combining additives can compromise the paint film stability. -
Yes! You can use it to thin all types of color, or to create excellent washes and stains of color. It also gives your paint a watercolor effect.
