MORE INFO
What it does
- Gives paint a satin finish
- Maintains paint adhesion, durability and archival quality
- Extends color without affecting acrylic stability
- Gives heavier body paint an oil-like color brilliance
- Increases viscosity of soft body paints, giving a thicker consistency
- Slows drying time and enhances appearance of brush strokes
How to use it
- Mix as much as you like into acrylic color to create the viscosity and transparency you want - the more you add, the more transparent the color will become
- Can be thinned by diluting with up to 25% water - distilled water will give best results
- Mix into Heavy Body Acrylic to extend volume and maintain viscosity
- Mix into Soft Body or Acrylic Ink to extend volume and thicken
- This is semi-opaque when wet, transparent when dry. When used very thickly it may dry semi-opaque
- Apply with a brush as a collaging glue and fixative
How not to use it
- Do not shake or vigorously over-brush as this can result in a foggy, hazy look when dry
- Do not use with any non-acrylic media

Airbrush Medium FAQs

Yes, Acrylic Ink can be used in your airbrush. We recommend you use it with Liquitex Airbrush Medium for optimum atomisation. Always remember to clean it out immediately after use as you would with any other acrylic media. -
We suggest you first avoid adding water to your paint and minimize heat and air flow in your painting environment. Secondly. make use of acrylic mediums to extend the color, especially Slow-Dri Fluid or Gel, Airbrush Medium or Slow-Dri Fluid or Gel Additive. All of these will extend the open time and workability of your color. Remember that only one additive should be used within a color mix as combining additives can compromise the paint film stability. -
Yes! You can use it to thin all types of color, or to create excellent washes and stains of color. It also gives your paint a watercolor effect.
