COVL’s world is playful. Packed with bubblegum dayglo color, dripping with organic kitschy forms, her art bursts with childhood references and infectious optimism. She creates from the heart and brings joy and freedom to everything she does. Collabs have produced all kinds of fantastical creations. A longtime fan of Liquitex Basics, COVL lives to push herself out of her comfort zone and believes it’s at the heart of creative evolution. Constantly exploring different surfaces, scales and media, she shifts from virtual to physical. Her first self produced multi-city show HOMESICK, explored the nuances of healing and the power of rewriting our histories through a larger-than-life lens. COVL is currently artist in residence at Industry City, Brooklyn, where she's facilitating and programming events
centered around creative enrichment.
